ΠΕΡΙΓΡΑΦΗ ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑΤΟΣ

Mitra France team is looking forward to work with you in this Erasmus+ project that is designed for youth workers who seek to incorporate media literacy skills into their daily work. This project is for organizations working within 12 EU Programme countries, and aims at examining the role and impact of fake news in creating prejudices and stereotypical images of vulnerable social groups, such as migrants and refugees.
The project includes a preparatory stage, training course, dissemination and follow-up activities.

The objectives of this project are:
• to provide youth workers with knowledge and competency in media literacy principles;
• to instill skills to use different tools for media content analysis;
• to explore the phenomenon of fake news, both in deconstructing the fake and comprehending the true;
• to develop competences how to work with youth with fewer opportunities;
• to advance non-formal education and cooperation in the field of youth work with EU Programme countries.
We have to underline, that the project doesn’t consist only of the training course in France but also includes visibility of the training course activities, dissemination activities before and ater the project as well as follow-up activities. It’s very important to keep this in mind before engaging into the training course itself and be ready and willing to participate in dissemination and follow-
up acivities too.

The profile of participants:

1.youth workers, volunteers working in partners’ organizations with young people and also
teachers who work with non-formal education methods.
2.Being minimum 18 years-old, youth worker with fewer opportunities or working with this target group.
3.Being motivated and able to share the project results in his / her local context and involved in dissemination and follow up process;
4.Active members, volunteers or youth workers, youth leaders, multipliers, trainers working in media literacy and open to enrich their knowledge and awareness regarding the other cultures and media literacy topic.
