DECEMBER 2013: MÜNSTER (GERMANY)
The project “Social and Community Media for Inclusion and Employability” has officially started with the first meeting of all project partners in Muenster(DE) 11-15 December 2013. In our kick off meeting, we agreed about the project plan. We looked at the timeline and proposed dates for the other 3 international meetings. It’s a project about creating a curriculum for a media training that fosters inclusion and enhances employability. The training will be tested partially during the international meetings and delivered locally by all project partners. By the end more than 200 people (50% of which are immigrants) will be trained in how to use media in order to better integrate with their environment and acquire new skills and knowledge.

MAY 2014: THESSALONIKI (GREECE)
In the 2nd part of the project “Social and Community Media for Inclusion and Employability”six partners from different European countries come together from the 6th until 10th May 2014 hosted by the organization Media Terra Nea in Thessaloniki, Greece. Supported by the European program “Life Long Learning” the project compiles best practices and innovative methods for multipliers and docents in adult education. The learning partnership contributes to the successful inclusion of immigrants and their active participation in lifelong learning.
Through different workshops about 40 participants and trainers are testing the different methods that were developed since the beginning of the project in August 2013. Beside video projects about inclusion and unemployment the groups will prepare and edit different type of media productions like a web blog, a video documentation and a photo gallery, shown in a final event on Friday, 9th may at 6 pm at OIKOPOLIS Social Space (Ptolemaion 29A, 5th floor).

NOVEMBER 2014: ISTANBUL (TURKEY)
In the 3rd part of the project “Social and Community Media for Inclusion and Employability”six
partners from different European countries (Germany, Denmark, Greece, Turkey, Finland, UK) come together from the 13th until 18th November 2014 hosted by the organization Youth A.R.T. Supported by the European program “Life Long Learning” the project compiles best practices and innovative methods for multipliers and docents in adult education. The learning partnership contributes to the successful inclusion of immigrants and their active participation in lifelong learning.
Through different workshops about 30 participants and trainers are testing the different methods that were developed since the beginning of the project in August 2013. Beside video projects about inclusion and unemployment the groups will prepare and edit different type of media productions like a web blog, a video documentation, a radio broadcast and a photo gallery, shown in a final event on Friday, 17th November at 6 pm at Geoactif center.

MAY 2015: SHEFFIELD (UK)
In the 4th and last part of the project “Social and Community Media for Inclusion and Employability” six partners from different European countries come together from the 18th until 22th May 2015 hosted by the organization Sheffield Independent Film and TV Limited (SHIFT) in Sheffield (UK). Supported by the European program “Life Long Learning” the project compiles best practices and innovative methods for multipliers and docents in adult education. The learning partnership contributes to the successful inclusion of immigrants and their active participation in lifelong learning.
Through different workshops around 20 participants and trainers are testing the different methods that were developed since the beginning of the project in August 2013. Beside video projects about inclusion the groups will prepare and edit different type of media productions like a web blog, a video documentation and a photo gallery, shown in a final event on Thursday, 21st May at 2 pm in 156 Arundel Street.
